Home Learning
At Manshead CE Academy when students are unable to attend school and are well enough to work at home, we expect students to complete lesson work, where possible at the same time the lessons occur in school. This will enable students to keep up with their peers as they will be keeping to their timetable and allow staff to check that work is being completed at home. Staff will also be available to contact only through the school email system. Students should contact their class teachers during the allocated subject time on their timetable to raise any questions regarding the work set. Staff will respond in a timely manner to any questions or issues raised.
We will continue to use the Show My Homework app for staff to set all work on, as this will act as the student online diary. Students can access this using their own username and password. If this is something they have forgotten, they can access it by clicking on the ‘Sign In with Office 365’ button, just under the blue login box, and here they will be able to enter their school login details and this will allow them to access Show My Homework. Staff will make it clear what format they would like work to be submitted through on Show My Homework. Any work not submitted in this format may not be monitored by the class teacher for feedback.

Students may be set work through the Microsoft Teams package. Subjects may set work through Microsoft Notebook, Microsoft Forms and the Assignment function in Teams. The video on this page put together by Mr Birring shows how students can access Microsoft Teams at home.
Some subjects may set video lessons through the Oak National Academy. These lessons have been put together by excellent practitioners and will be used when they complement the Manshead CE Academy curriculum.
On this page are also three documents put together by Miss Saggese for her classes that will give students further instructions on how to use Microsoft Notebook and how to upload work to this software.
