Due to the lengthy school closure, we are providing regular, structured work for all children. Each Monday, we upload a work to Show My Homework for all students in Year 7-10 and Year 12. Work for Year 11 and 13 is set over a longer period of time. We have suggested a schedule of learning for the students, that can help with routine, but we realise that not all students will be able to follow this, so the work is available for students from Monday to Friday.
It is important to remember that we make adaptations for children in school so parents can and will need to do this as well. Therefore following the schedule is a parental and student choice. Whilst we would like all students to complete all the work set on Show My Homework, we realise that is not going to be possible. Therefore Manshead teachers will do their very best to get all learning gaps filled when school returns. Also we know that you are the prime educators in your child’s life and you know what is best for them in the current circumstances. Therefore we also are supplying other online resources to support and give alternatives to their learning. We don’t expect all of it to be done, what is important to us that the students stay mentally and physically well at this time.
Therefore to fully develop parental choice in learning you can also try some of the activities below. Some of them will also be supplementary to what we would have done in school if we were open, such as school trips, theatre and gallery visits.
