Curriculum Recovery
Following the students return to school on 8th March, Curriculum Leaders and their subject teams have been evaluating work completed by students during January and February assessing students understanding. They have been establishing what progress has been made and identifying any gaps in knowledge or misconceptions that need to be addressed. As a result, subject teams have produced a Subject Recovery Plan for each year group.
These plans outline the curriculum for the remainder of the year and aim to ensure that students are ready and confident in their learning to embark on the studies of the next academic year in September. This means that lessons, homework and assessment after Easter will focus on helping the students be ‘September Ready’. It also gives parents an understanding of the structure and range of work being covered.
