By contrast to the Silver expedition, the group out for their Assessed expedition on Dartmoor enjoyed some really glorious weather mixed in with some rain and cold too (well it is DofE!).
But mainly it was wonderful and the team had a great time, including camping wild (i.e. miles from the nearest habitation and no facilities at all) at a ruined farm and an ancient copse.
The group have put together a video of their expedition which they will be posting shortly.
And the teachers supporting the expedition didn’t waste their time either, conducting useful scientific experiments such as measuring precisely the width of the minibus!
