UK Maths Challenge
In the Summer term, 60 students from Year 7 (now in Year 8) competed in the UK Mathematics Challenge. This competition is held nationally and involves 300,000 students from across the country. This year some Manshead students did strikingly well. Firstly a Gold Certificate (and best in school) went to Nathan Tomlin. This puts him in the top 6% of all students nationally in Year 8. There were a number of Silver Certificates, and these went to Aiden Duray, Amy Smith and Jessica Prosser. This puts them in the top 20% of all students nationally in Year 8. There were also a number of Bronze Certificates, going to Alin Olaru, Harsh Pancholi, Max Newman, Ryan Houldcroft, Matthew Bordiak, Viren Odedra, Toby Price, Sam Moroni, Lily Watson and Aimee Basye. Well done to ALL those who took part and in particularly to our award winners. We have some GREAT mathematicians at Manshead CE Academy.
