Student of the Year Awards 2015
Manshead School were proud to have two students from our current Year 13 recognised in the National Student of the Year Awards for 2015. Jamaal Jackson and Emily George were both nominated for awards by their school and were short-listed for national subject awards. Jamaal was nominated for the Humanities subject prize and Emily for the Sport subject prize. The event was hosted by BBC Radio personality John Humphries. Both students were accompanied by proud parents to this prestigious event. Our photo shows Jamaal and Emily with Tim Campbell MBE, the founder of the National Awards. Jamaal is Student Principal at Manshead School and is currently studying History, Business and Economics at A level (achieving an A and three Bs in his AS levels in the summer of 2015). Jamaal is working towards these qualifications with his ultimate aim of a career in Corporate Law. Emily is currently studying BTEC Level 3 qualifications in Sport, Health and Social Care and Applied Science with hopes of a career in outdoor education. Emily is aiming to achieve three Distinctions by the end of Year 13. Manshead School is very proud of Jamaal and Emily’s achievements and are so happy that these have been recognised nationally.
