When you visit the performance tables you will see that Manshead achieves among the best results in Dunstable for both GCSE and A-level. In 2016 60% of Manshead students achieved A* to C grades in English and maths at GCSE level. Manshead also leads the way with the percentage of students who achieve the English Baccalaureate. The English Baccalaureate measures the proportion of students who get C grade or higher in academic subjects such as English, maths, science, foreign languages and history or geography. In 2016 26% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate compared to 5% and 11% at Queensbury and All Saints respectively.
Our progress score, which measures the progress that students make from their starting points at age 11 to their outcomes at age 16, is also the best in Dunstable. Manshead scored -0.05 which means that we are in line with the national average. In comparison Queensbury scored -0.24 and All Saints -0.39, both below the national average. Exam results and school performance at Manshead show a strong improving trend.
